There are over 5 surf breaks at Papara. Ranging from simple beach break to world class reef passes. Each of the spots can be seen from anywhere on the beach and can all be firing at the same time. The main peak is at the river mouth over smooth stones offering rights and lefts with many take off positions. Papara is the most consistent surf spot in Tahiti and well under looked. Everyone always is worried to surf Teahupoo. Fortunately there are surf breaks for the rest of us. Be prepared to surf more than your body may be able to handle. Oh yea, and if your ready for Teahupoo, she is only 30 minutes down the road.

We are open all year because Polynesia has a swell consistency over 90% and the weather is always tropical. Be sure to reserve early to secure a spot. INFORMATION
BASICS: The languages spoken are Tahitian and French. Daily International flights arrive in the capital of Papeete, Tahiti. The airport code is PPT. Local currency is the Pacific Franc (XPF). The island of Moorea is a 45min ferry ride and can be seen from north side of Tahiti.
WEATHER: French Polynesia's average temperature is 82 degrees. There are two seasons. Winter (May-October) and Summer (November-April). Tubuai is in the Austral Island chain which is cooler with an average temperature of 71 degrees.
